I want a woody on rye (hold the mayo)

There puttin' wood in our food now. Well not exactly. Cellulose the stuff wood is made of is being extracted, purified and used as an extender, additive and suppliment in variious food products. Wood has a lot of nasty stuff in like tree resins, oils, waxs and subtances.  It can be quite toxic. Cellulose is as different from wood as sugar is from srtawberries, (some people react badly to stawberries.)
Why? Its cheep! It's low calorie, like none. It is not fat but it holds moisture and gives a rich texture to foods.
When I saw a notice about this on facebook with the headline, "Their putting wood in our food",  it contained much of the infomration contained here, and the admonishment to check the ingrediants in food you buy and listed some of the products that contains cellulose:

Cellulose repalces fat, adds fibers, no caloires. retains moisture, and gives food many of the qaulities people are asking for these days.
Lets get this clear, no one is coming into my house and dumping wood chips into my food. When I buy food it has doesn't have cellulose in it, or more likely it does, I don't always check the lables. Or if there isn't a label, potatoes, apples, cornchips, etc, the celulose is there in large quanity. Plant cells are 30 % ceulose to start with
If it does have a lable read it carefully, reguritated wood is the often the least disconcerting thing on the list. If you don't know what those things on the list are then maybe think about buying something friendlier.
